Cholene Kelly Begin passed away peacefully in the wee hours of November 22, 2017 in Palliative Care at Nanaimo.
Our family stood strong every step of the way in support of her fight to stay, she was never alone. On her last Monday, we gathered as an intimate circle of family to witness her magnificent strength as she gave us one last day of being her sassy self, and telling us beautiful things. We embrace this with peace and comfort knowing she loves us completely and knew we loved her. There is only love.
Waiting for Cholene on the other side of this life is her sweetheart husband Al Begin; may they be together evermore. She is missed and upheld with love by their children Cory and Jenna; Jenna’s husband Dave Woods and their children (Cholene’s adored grand-daughters) Paige and Indie. Their compassion for their Mother and Grandmother was limitless, pure, and unconditional.
Missing her gentle and generous spirit are her Mother Elizabeth Hodson (Alan); Father James Kelly (Shelley); “big little” sister Arlene Forbes (Randy); brother Stirling Kelly (Sandra); brother Leith Kelly; baby sister Feron Walker (Duff).
She adored her nephews and niece: Kelly, Scott, Nolan, Reece, Lucas, Tess, and Keyton – and their beautiful families. She had a special bond with her Aunties, Uncles, and cousins.
Also loving her are half siblings Seamus (Vanessa), Neah (Mark), Nuria (Sean) – and their families. She is also missed by the Begins; she was a good daughter-in-law who did right by her man.
She was honoured by great friends and colleagues, and we are grateful beyond measure for the kindness and love shown to Cholene – thank you.
Think of her often, be kind to animals, show compassion to those in need. Join our celebration December 16, 2017 at the Eagles Hall in Campbell River 12:00 (doors open) to 4:00 pm.
Bright colours only (a bikini top if you dare!). We gratefully ask that instead of flowers, please donate to the SPCA, your local Palliative Care, or ICU.
The care she received was second to none. We share your loss, and will find a way together.
