Chanon Lee Buchanan of Comox BC passed away at the Nanaimo Regional Hospital while in the company of her loving family. She was born to parents Brian and Barb Buchanan who, along with her sons Jeremy (Erica) and Steven (Cassie) of Sooke, BC will deeply mourn her passing.
She also leaves three very young grandsons Tavis, Robert and Tanner and one granddaughter, Annabella. Chanon will be deeply missed by her extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins in BC, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Her early years in Ontario and BC will provide everlasting memories of a sweet, compassionate young lady who enjoyed playing the piano, figure skating and who always looked forward to our travels, particularly camping trips. She entered into adulthood here on Vancouver Island, initially living at Shawnigan Lake, BC where she became a young mother and started her family of which she was extremely proud. Chanon later returned to the Comox Valley where she had previously attended Highland Secondary school.
In recent years she lived through bouts of depression but her caring and considerate personality was always present. Locked in our memories are the many holidays when our families gathered together and celebrated those precious occasions. Chanon will forever be in our hearts, never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place and her life memories will be privately celebrated by the immediate family.
