Cecil Guy Stupich

Cecil Guy Stupich, born August 27, 1955, passed away on March 2, 2023, in the company of his family. Although he had suffered from health issues the last few years, his passing was unexpected and sudden. Many thanks to the ICU staff of Nanaimo Hospital. Guy leaves behind his Aunt Marjorie Stupich, brothers Steve (Karen) and Dave (Brenda), sons Dillon and Kell (Kayla), stepson Tyrel Damstrom (Randi, and son Hudson), numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, Bonnie and Murray Brown, "adopted" sister Phyllis, and close friends Mark and Erin. He was predeceased by his mother Mildred, his father, Roy, and sister Carol Gaye Begg. He was a farm worker, truck driver, mill worker, and logger. He loved to operate his skidder and did so for 40 years. He was an interesting character who liked to think up elaborate jokes, give out nicknames, entertain guests with a good BS, and a taste of shine, and will be missed by all who spent time with him. Family and friends are invited to get together to remember Guy on April 23, 2023, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., outdoors in Stupichville at 2969 Granby Road. Light refreshments will be served.
