It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Carrie Lily Ann Budden on August 14, 2022.
Born April 13, 1948 in Inglis, Manitoba, Lil was pre-deceased by her husband of 54 years Barry, her mother and father Nellie and Jim, and her brothers Dave and Gordon. Lil is survived by her sister Mary (Art), brothers Steve (Dorothy) and Lawrence (Theresa), daughters Tanya (David) and Tara, and both grandchildren Dayna and Dawson.
Lil enjoyed spending time in her yard working in the garden, playing golf with the ladies and those Tuesday lunches with her friends. Family was everything to Lil, from hosting a delicious Ukrainian Christmas dinner party to many gatherings in the back yard. She was always happiest with the kids around.
Lil worked at the Co-op for 30 years where she enjoyed meeting and getting to know most of the people in the community that she loved so much. A very sweet lady that will be greatly missed.
The immediate family will celebrate Lil's life at a private event. Thank you to her doctors, the Cowichan District Hospital, and the Cancer Centre for all their help.
