With profound sadness, the family of Carol Madelaine Heard (Lirondelle) announces that after many courageously won battles, she passed suddenly from this world to the next on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the age of 74 years.
Carol was born February 11, 1949, in Edmonton, AB, and was lovingly raised in the Legal, Rivière Qui Barre, Morinville, AB area.
She excelled as a life insurance agent and financial consultant in Edmonton and Sherwood Park, AB, and made the most of her retirement years in Courtenay, BC. She continued loving, laughing, and of course, talking until the very end.
Carol was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter Kelly (James) Barnie, grandchildren Claire Barnie and Sam Barnie, stepdaughters Susan Allebone and Christine Allebone, numerous brother-and-sister-like cousins, and many lifelong friends.
She was predeceased by her partner Richard Allebone and her parents, Elie Lirondelle and Louise Lirondelle (Perrault).
Carol, Ma, Grammy will live in the hearts and memories of her family and friends forever.
A Celebration of Life, prayer service and interment will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church and Cemetery in Mearns, AB, on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 3:00pm. Lemon meringue pie and refreshments to follow at St. Charles Church Hall.
