His wings were ready, but our hearts were not. Bruce Glenn Hunter passed away on March 3, 2019 at 5:09am as the snowflakes fell outside softly and his family gathered around him.

Bruce was born in Shawinagan Falls, Quebec and raised in Beaupre. Bruce at a young age, knew that he had a calling for adventure. He joined the Royal Canadian Airforce at a young age, as he knew that he could travel the world and give back to his Country. Bruce was selected as an elite member of the Pararescue Squad. He thrived on the thrill of jumping from planes, survival missions and training for the protection of others.

Bruce had many passions. His first and for most was playing hockey from Major Junior to OldTimers. He also enjoyed fishing, coaching baseball, softball and piloting his own plane.

Our Dad was a selfless man, he had the greatest sense of humour, he was loved and respected by so many, which made us all so proud.

Bruce was survived by his beautiful wife Elaine of more than 50 years and they were kindred souls never left each other's side. Together they taught us what love, trust and respect was.

Bruce was an incredible father too his three children, Michael who passed away February 13, 1981, and his two surving children, Darren (Nikki ) and his daughter Laura . Poppa also had three wonderful grandchildren who he loved and adored, they were his pride and joy! Ryan, Chloe and Hayley. Bruce was not only a Dad to his children but considered a Father figure to many family members who loved him beyond measure.

"We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone for part of us went with you the day God called you Home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
