In loving memory ~
Bruce was born on April 21, 1950 in Toronto, Ontario. Bruce's 35 year Air Traffic Control career included Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Edmonton.
Bruce and Jean moved to Nanaimo in 2014. Bruce joined the Nanaimo Curling Club. His quick wit and infectious laugh made him popular with his many friends there. Bruce served as a league rep for several years. He also joined the Van Isle Sailing Co-op and enjoyed sailing the beautiful waters of the Salish Sea. He loved his home and was proud to serve on the Strata Council at Park Ridge Place for several years. He counted all the owners as friends.
Bruce's passion was genealogy. He published his first book "Remember Us, The Story of Our Connor Clan of West Saint John" in 2018.
Bruce passed away peacefully at NRGH on May 27th. Bruce was a wonderful man with a passion for life. He pursued his dreams and accomplished his goals. He was a good friend, generous to a fault. He was a loving and caring father. Bruce was a kind, thoughtful, devoted husband & I shall miss him always.
A heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses, care aides and volunteers at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for your wonderful care of Bruce. Your kindness and compassion brought him comfort. A special thank you to our many friends and neighbours for all their kindnesses, thoughtfulness and support.
