October 5, 2000 - April 29, 2022
With broken hearts and through tears, we share the passing of our sweet boy, Broden Ross Murphy.
Broden Murphy, 21, was born in Tacoma, WA on October 5, 2000, and died unexpectedly in Kingston, ON on April 29, 2022.
In addition to his loving parents, Stephanie and Dave, Broden is survived by his brother, Grant, his Nanny, Nana & Poppa, aunts, uncles and many cousins, as well as an extensive circle of family and special friends.
Broden was predeceased by his Grampie and Auntie Sarah.
Broden was a military child who lived in 5 different locations, in 3 different countries. His friendly and caring nature had him making lifelong friends wherever he went.
Broden graduated high school from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Oklahoma City, OK. He held a special connection with his high school community and friends and would consider Oklahoma City as his hometown.
Broden currently attended Royal Military College in Kingston, ON and was set to graduate in a few short weeks. He formed friendships with his classmates that became like family to him, especially while separated from family during the pandemic.
Broden had planned to be an Aerospace Controller, like his Dad. Broden loved spending time with his family and many friends, especially the times with his brother. With a passion for staying active, he loved soccer, hockey, snowboarding, and weightlifting.
Broden had a love of cars (like his Grampie), an adventure for travel, the love of good food and cooking, and following his favorite soccer and football clubs.
Broden had one of the kindest hearts around and touched the many lives of those he met. We are so proud of the fine young man that he was.
Our family is sincerely thankful for the outpouring of love and support we are receiving as we navigate these dark days. For those wishing to honour Broden's memory, we have created this campaign page to continue his legacy. Donations in memoriam may be made to: https://gofund.me/ed97aa6b
All proceeds will be donated to the charities that Broden would have wanted to support.
A Memorial Service took place at Christ the King Church, Courtenay, on Monday, May 9, 2022.
