July 27, 1941 - April 6, 2020
Brian passed away at home with the love and support of his family. He passed after a lengthy battle with cancer which he fought and ended on his own terms.
Brian was a strong and caring man, the one who supported his family through any hardship with humility, humor and courage. He was well known in the community through the various volunteer positions held over the years.
Brian was predeceased by his wife Rita. He is survived by his loving partner Marilyn, his son Duane (Jennifer), his daughter Dawn (Roy) and his 5 grandchildren (Bradley, Devin, Brielle, Mya and Reese). He was the oldest of 6 and will be missed by his siblings: Maureen Mann, Donne (Denise), Colleen Richard (Joseph), Kevin (Carol), Shelley Cahoon (Dave); as well as an amazing group of nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
We would like to thank Dr. Rhoda Pullan for her exceptional support and care throughout his illness. Without her we would not have had the time we did. Thank you to Dr. William Nielsen, and to the South Cowichan Home Nursing staff.
