Brian peaceful passed away at Nanaimo Hospital after battling with cancer.
Brian was born to Jim & Audrey in Carman Manitoba, raised and educated in the Vancouver area and finally for the past 25 years resided in Nanaimo.
Adventure was calling and Brian lived a diverse life as a businessman, entrepreneur and fisherman among others. He had endless curiosity, and enjoyed a good debate with long conversations and a cold pint of beer with his friends.
Brian lived as he wanted embracing the simple pleasures of life.
He is survived by his siblings Patricia McCabe (Gordon), Valerie, Richard (Margaret), Lizabeth, Greg (Shay) and Debra Beatty (Ken) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deepest thanks to Lise, Shannon and Dr Green at Seniors Health - VIHA, Kathy and the staff caregivers at Home & Community Care for the exceptional care in Brian's final year.
There will be no service at Brian's request.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
