It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Maddex. Beloved husband of Betty Ann (Matychuk) Maddex, father of Mark Edward Maddex (wife Krista), granddaughters Marie and Kate, and his adored-lab, Stanley.
Brian is predeceased by his parents Fred and Elsie Maddex, brothers Dwaine and Allen Maddex, and survived by brothers Danny (Betty) Maddex, Lyle Maddex, and sister Cloy (Doug) Gould.
Retired Warrant Officer CFB, business owner and member of Fanny Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Brian was a devoted family man, known for his sense of humor and walking Stanley at Rosewell Creek.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, 1 pm, Saturday, March 30, 2019.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Brian made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
