His Journey's Just Begun

By: Ellen Brenneman

Don't think of him as gone away his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this is only one.

Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.

And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched...for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much.

He was a son, a brother, a brother-in-law, a nephew, a cousin, an uncle and a friend. Brian was all of these things and more. Brian passed away suddenly in early March of natural causes. He was kind, generous, and considerate and he had a wicked sense of humour. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on.

If you wish, in lieu of flowers, you could make a donation to your local food bank or homeless shelter. He always carried extra food when he was on the Downtown East Side in case he met someone in need. He will stay always in our hearts. Talk about him, laugh and cry. It is our memories of him that keep him alive in our hearts.
