It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Brian André Joseph Hallgarth on September 8th, 2022, at the age of 55, with his devoted family by his side. He died as he had lived, on his own terms and with integrity.
Brian was a caring partner, stepfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be forever remembered by his spouse of twelve years, Rhonda; stepchildren, Rebecca, Vanessa and Keith; sister, Mona (Larry); brothers, Clint (Eva) and Ken; brother-in-law, Bud; father-in-law, Don; and best friends, Dan and Robbie. He will also be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his former partner, Linda; parents, Simone and Kenneth; and his sisters, Christine and Denise.
The family would like to thank the staff at West Coast General Hospital for their care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 25th at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 293, 4680 Victoria Quay in Port Alberni. In lieu of flowers and/or gifts, memorial donations may be made in Brian's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
