In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Birthe Graugaard on October 19 2022, a dear wife, mother (Mor) grandmother (Mormor, Farmor) and great grandmother (Oldemor). Birthe leaves behind Kurt her husband of 65 years. sister Ingelise (Randy), brother Erik, (Doreeh), sons Kent (Jaqueline), Jorn (Linda), Michael, Steven, daughter Sandra (Keith), seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Birthe was predeceased by her son Peter and sister Karin.
Birthe was born on March 16, 1937 in Aarhus, Denmark to Kristian and Helga Nielsen. In 1959 Birthe, Kurt and their three children immigrated from Denmark to Golden, BC where they would have three more children. In her retirement years, she enjoyed travelling South in the winter with Kurt. Birthe always enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren fondly remember her teaching them new card games. Birthe will be remembered for her friendly demeanour, kind heart, giant smile and her love for dancing.
The family would like the extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Eden Gardens for all of the love and care they provided to Birthe during her remaining years.
