It is with great sadness the Kolins family announces the passing of Beverly John Kolins on August 20, 2019. Born May 31, 1936 in Humboldt, SK. Predeceased by Bryan Kolins (son) and Lowell Kolins (brother). He leaves behind his wife Amelia (Amy) Kolins after 62 years of marriage along with their son Douglas Kolins, and wife Cheryl (daughter-in-law) and 2 grandsons Mackenzie Kolins and Chad Kolins.
Deeply missed by his sisters Vanetta Stertz, Joy Kolins with brothers, Gary Kolins and wife Rene (sister-in-law), Bryan Kolins and Carol Guthrie Kolins (sister-in-law) and numerous friends and relatives.
A proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force for 34 years fixing airplane engines all around the world. After retirement, he became a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion and supported many volunteer events and charitable causes which was his passion.
A small graveside service will be held at 2.00 pm, Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations made to the Kidney Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
