Born in Vulcan, Alberta, July 18, 1940, Bev came from a large family of eight. She met Thomas Kettlewell on Bowen Island, and married shortly after; 2 children followed, Tom Jr and Linda.
She is survived by her children, Tom Jr (Ramona), Linda (Bob), her grandchildren, Candice, Klintin, Kyle, and their partners and great grandchildren.
Bev was a proud Legion member and spent many hours volunteering with the ladies auxiliary, events, and weddings. She was famous for her extraordinary sewing skills, making fur teddy bears and many quilts.
Bev loved to travel; her favourite was the Alaskan cruise and she and Tom spent many years camping in the RV. She was a generous person, always lending a hand, helping others, and volunteering with her many organizations she belonged to.
Back in 1971 to 1972, Mom and her team won the Canadian Nationals for 5 pin bowling and are in the Hall of Fame. She said back then with a smile, "Now I can die".
She will be dearly missed.
