Betty Louise Whyte nee Emberley, B Dec 18, 1931 D Jul 2, 2019. Betty grew up in North Vancouver with her 10 siblings. She married merchant marine sailor Alastair Whyte - 2 girls, Jane and Linda; granddaughter Sylvia. A typist for lawyers and real estate, ward housekeeping at Lion's Gate Hospital and owned a chicken farm in Cloverdale selling fertilized eggs for brooders. On Gabriola Island she worked in retail at Silva Bay Marina. Betty's hobbies were eclectic and diverse, a master landscape painter, tarot card reader and gardener. Betty will be fondly remembered for belting out a song or two at Karaoke.
