Betty Doreen Thomson (nee Ryan), age 93, of Nanaimo, British Columbia passed away Sunday morning, January 3rd, 2021. Betty is predeceased by her husband, Laurie Thomson and son Gary Thomson. Betty and Laurie were happily married for 67 years.
Betty is survived by her daughter Gail Pitt (nee Thomson), her son Don Thomson (m Patsy), her brothers Mel and Pat Ryan, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
She was the beloved Grama of her 3 granddaughters, Katy, Angela, and Robyn, as well as Gigi to her 10 great- grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her, who were lucky enough to share in her sharp wit, and in the special way that she showed her interest, care and concern. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date, likely online due to Covid restrictions.
