RITCHIE, Beth (Elizabeth) - Passed away on March 6, 2023 at Trillium Lodge in Parksville, B.C., with her son Jason at her side after 6 years fighting the fight against cancer.
She was born on April 19, 1952, in Thessalon, Ontario, where she developed a lifelong passion for baking at her mothers side. She was the daughter of Alice and Jack Shaule and wife of the late Ted Ritchie of Sault Ste. Marie. Mother of Christopher Carr and Jason Carr (Tammy), grandmother of Hailey, Lily and Jada, sister of Roger, Harvey (Gloria) and Ralph (Lila).
Beth came to Oceanside in 2010 and followed her passion for dancing at the Legions, camping in her mini trailer and caring for many cats and dogs when their humans went away. She volunteered at several local charities & will be remembered for all the hours she spent hosting the Salvation Army Kettles in December.
