We the family of our beloved mother, would like to announce that Bessie passed away peacefully at Eden Gardens in Nanaimo. Bessie is survived by her children, Margaret (Robin), Mary (John), Robert (Rita), Duncan (Simone), and Susan (Ken), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bessie was born in England, survived the war years, and married her beloved husband Bob. She moved to Victoria in 1945, as a war bride, and started her family there. From there they moved to William Head, then to Bamfield, and finally to Port Alberni. Bessie had many friends everywhere she went. She was devoted to family, and loved to camp, and travel to Bamfield on holidays. Bessie was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her.
A special thanks to the staff of Eden Gardens, who made her last years comfortable and safe.
