We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Barry Gallia on October 4, 2020. He leaves behind his daughter Andrea Quarnstrom (Jeff), son Travis (Amber), grandchildren Natalie, Arianna, and Benson, his partner Diane Wheatcroft, brother Lyle and nephews. Barry co-owned Edwards Tire with his brother Lyle from 1971 until they retired in 2005. Barry loved all sports and played fastball and hockey, he bowled and was a long-time member at the Nanaimo Golf Club. Barry also coached his son in baseball for many years. Family and friends meant everything to Barry. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, but will be forever in our hearts. A small service will be held when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
