Ben Petkau passed away at Campbell River Hospital on Sept. 13, 2019 after a difficult health struggle.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Maida of 30 years, daughter Cheryl (Stephen), 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 stepdaughter, 3 stepsons, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He was predeceased by his son Bernie, son-in-law Dan White, stepson Peter, parents Ben and Helena Petkau, 2 sisters, 1 brother. Ben was a lifetime member of the Lions Club and a member of the Old Timers Hockey League.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 23, at 1 pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay with a reception to follow. For those who wish, donations can be made in Ben's memory to your local Lions Club.
