Beatrice Metcalf

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beatrice Metcalf (nee Prescott) on November 9, 2019. Beatrice passed away at The Views Hospice in Comox B.C. with her loving family by her side.
Beatrice was born on July 6, 1925 in McAuley Manitoba to Albert and Juliette Prescott. Predeceased by her husband George Metcalf and her daughter Marcia Weston. Survived by four children: Marilynn Moore (George), Marjorie Lathrope (Mike), George Metcalf (Debbie Chisholm), Alan Metcalf (Linda) and son-in-law Bob Weston. Beatrice also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, many nieces, nephews and friends, 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
Beatrice spent her last four years at Casa Loma surrounded by special friends who were her "Casa Loma family". She enjoyed her home and her family and friends and had a positive attitude in all things and was very loving and caring. At the age of 94 Beatrice was a remarkable woman with a sharp wit and a clear mind.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Neufeld and the wonderful staff at Courtenay Hospital and The Views Hospice for their attentive care. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday November 19 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Parish, 1599 Tunner Drive, Courtenay B.C. with a tea to follow.
