It is with great sadness that the family of Barry Gregory Johnson announces his sudden passing on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at the age of 70, in the Campbell River Hospital.

Barry will forever be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Brandy Johnson (Kevin) and Arron Green (Justin), his separated wife, Dorene Johnson, his beloved friend, Lisa Hare, his older sister, Sandra Olson (Darryl), and his 4 nieces.

Barry was predeceased by his loving and doting parents, John R. Johnson and Elizabeth M. Johnson.

Barry was born on July 31, 1948 in Victoria, BC. He contracted polio as an infant, which fostered his strength and determination of overcoming anything that came his way. He retired from the Gold River Mill and relocated several times, before settling in Black Creek, BC, beside the ocean he loved.

Barry was fiercely independent, had a unique sense of humour, was an avid sports fan, and loved music, woodworking and animals.

He was surrounded with love by Brandy, Arron, Dorene and Justin, and crossed quickly to join his parents.

Thank you to all of the staff at Campbell River Hospital, and especially Dr. Allan and nurses Kelly and Roxanne.

Pursuant to his wishes, Barry will be cremated, and he did not want a service. As Barry was an NFL fanatic, we encourage you to think of him during Super Bowl time and toast him with an A&W rootbeer. Condolences may be sent to arroncgreen@hotmail.com.
