With profound sadness we wish to announce the sudden passing of a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend at the tender age of fifty-five.

Dan was born in Comox but resided in Campbell River his entire life. He began his career as a truck driver at Al & Sons before following in his Father's footsteps to work at the Elk Falls Mill until its closure. Afterwards, he dabbled in odd jobs before returning to driving truck with local companies.

Being an avid outdoorsman, Dan loved fishing, camping, target shooting, hunting, snowmobiling and boating. Most recently his favorite pastime was cruising on his Harley Davidson. At other times, Dan could be found tinkering in his workshop completing projects for friends and family. Always inquisitive, Dan had the ability to build and repair anything.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Sharon, mother, Pauline, step- mother, Agnes, mother in law, Marie Auld, sister, Val (Bruce), step-brother, David Fleming (Ruby), step-sister, Susan Felhauser, sister-in-law, Joanne Matheson (Don), brother-in-laws, Wayne Beebe, Kelly (Kellie), Howard Auld, and nephews, Bryan and James Matheson. Also grieving are Dan's large extended family and many life-long friends.

Dan is predeceased by his Father, Barry Pilkington, and his father-in-laws, Ron Beebe, William Auld, and his best buddy, Kane.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 4th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Oyster Bay Resort.
