It is with heavy hearts we announce Barbara's passing after battling a lengthy illness.
She was predeceased by her father Art Brooks, the love of her life Barry Waddell, and her nephew Cameron. Survived by her children Michael (Kayte), Shawn (Gen), Mark (Ali) and grandchildren Jake, Rupert, Cameron and Ruby. Also survived by her mother Lorraine Brooks, brother Joe (Donna) Brooks, sister Debbie (Rick) Sullivan and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends including her best friends Carol and Gary Fergusson.
Barbara worked at many jobs over her lifetime, always with a great work ethic. The job she loved best was being Mom and Nana. Barbara was a sweet, kind, generous person who loved to cook family meals, garden, and travel to Mexico. Her school lunches were legendary among the boys classmates.
No service by request. Barbara will continue to live in the hearts of all who loved her.
