In loving memory ~
Audrey, was diagnosed with dementia in 2019 and succumbed to the ravages of the disease in just 3 years. She died peacefully in her bed at Comox Valley Senior Village on Tuesday Sept 27, with her daughter and grand daughter by her side.
For those wishing to honour Audrey's memory with a donation, consideration to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
Audrey was born in Moosejaw Saskatchewan. She was second youngest of six children. In 1967 she moved to Europe where she travelled extensively and learned to ski. In 1970 she returned to Canada and spent 4 years in the Maritimes before moving to Ontario and then finally Comox in 1978.
She worked as an RN at Saint Joseph's Hospital for 20 years. She was an excellent seamstress, an avid gardener, and loved to dance and sing.
She was fiercely independent, married twice, and had many friends and loving relationships in her life.
Audrey was a loving mother to Bruce, and Sherri and an amazing Grandma to Travis, Clara, and Chelsea.
She will be dearly missed.
Audrey's family invite friends to Kin Beach Provincial Park on Saturday Oct 15th, at 12 pm for an informal gathering to share stories, memories, and refreshments and help celebrate the life of a very special woman.
