Audrey, a resident of Casa Loma Senior Village, Courtenay, BC died peacefully at Comox Valley Hospital on Monday, March 28, 2022. Audrey was born December 5, 1930 in Tuberose, Saskatchewan. In 1945 Audrey and her family moved to Vancouver, where she trained as a dressmaker and where she met and married her 1st husband, Jim. In 1950 they moved to Queen Charlotte City on Haida Gwaii. They lived in Charlotte for the next 25 years. While there Audrey worked at Davies General Store, the Queen Charlotte Hotel and Advance Taxis.
After Jim died suddenly in 1974, Audrey moved to New Westminster, where she worked as a food packer at Monarch Margarine on Annasis Island. While living on the lower mainland, she met Sam, her 2nd husband, and in 1989 she retired and they moved to the Comox Valley where they built Audrey's dream home, a log house in Merville.
Audrey was predeceased by her 1st Husband James Lowell Jeannotte, Son Russell Neil Jeannotte(Donna), Sister Betty Pettigrew, and brothers Glen and Cal Pettigrew.
Audrey was a loving wife to Sam Kingston, mother to Gail Beaucage (Lou), grandmother to Jamie, Keely, Lowell, Matt and Sami and great grandmother to Jake and Kaden, and sister toThelma Holmstrom
As was her wish, a private cremation was arranged.
Audrey's family wants to thank the nurses and doctors at the Comox Valley Hospital and the care workers at Casa Loma for the care and compassion they have shown Audrey.
