Our beloved Mom & Gramie Audrey Elizabeth Webb (nee Pedersen), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 19, 2019 in the Cowichan District Hospital in Duncan, BC at the age of 86. She leaves behind her daughter Wendy (Ralph) Edwards; granddaughter Amanda (Jeremy) Edwards; son Tim; her best friends of over 70 years Bernice Hathaway of Parksville, BC and Helen Armitage of Olympia, Washington.
Liz was born to Danish immigrant parents, Engvard and Johanna Pedersen on a farm in Argyle, Manitoba and the youngest of six children (Eva, John, Mary, Art, & Earl). Liz travelled a very difficult road in life being left a single parent with two children. She worked tirelessly in the computer industry to provide a loving home for them.
She was a strong Christian woman who loved to read, paint, care for her beloved pets and in younger days play golf.
Her last 16 years were spent sharing a home with her daughter and family in Mill Bay, BC. She came to live with them after her daughter's serious car accident. In the end the roles were reversed and we are forever grateful for all the years she shared in our home.
We should like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to Lifeline for their amazing service and the Mill Bay Ambulance and Fire Department (Ron Beck). To the wonderful staff in Emergency and on 3 South, "our special angels": Karen, Julia, Kyla, Brittany, Aurora, Laura, Shannon, Susan, Pat & Courtney. Recently she had been receiving laser treatments by Wendy Bowen (Startline Physiotherapy) which helped with the excruciating back pain she was living with. Liz was so grateful to Wendy for fitting her into her busy schedule. Lastly, thank you Dr. T. Elliott and her office staff for the many years of care.
Liz is now free of pain and with her Lord & Saviour. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and precious cat, Teddy. "Til we meet again".
At Liz's request, no funeral service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the BC SPCA Cowichan District Branch or Cowichan Cat Rescue in honour of Liz's love for animals.
