October 31, 1935 - April 23, 2021
After a short but courageous battle with brain cancer, Audrey passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Audrey was born on October 31st, 1935 in Edmonton Alberta and predeceased by her parents David and Martha Kadatz.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Ron, and her 4 children: son Jim (Leslie), daughter Heather (Jim), daughter Jill, and daughter Cathy. Audrey was the loving grandmother of five to Kady (Chris) great-granddaughter Murphy, Kelsey (Curtis) great-grandsons Carter and Nash, Travis, Taylor, and Wyatt.
Audrey adored being a great-grandmother to Carter, Murphy and Nash who were the light of her life and guaranteed to bring a smile to her face whenever mentioned.
Throughout her later life Audrey was an avid bowler, crib player and had just celebrated 25 years as a member of the St Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary where she enjoyed working in the gift shop and going on buying trips with her good friend Pat Fish.
The family would like to thank Audrey's doctor of 35 years Dr. Nancy McFadden for her unfailing support, and Dr Carolyne Montgomery. We are grateful that mom did not suffer and know that she is now looking down and loving us.
A small family gathering will take place at a later date to spread her ashes. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Auxiliary for Comox Valley Healthcare - a organization near and dear to mom's heart.
