Art, a resident of the Comox Valley, died suddenly March 15, 2021 doing the job he absolutely loved. Art was born in Queen Charlotte City, BC on June 22, 1979. When not falling trees, Art could be found out on the water fishing—his favorite place to be, his favorite pastime. Or found out in the bush hunting. Art was a gentle soul who had a quick smile and warm hug for those he met. His big heart and gentle nature knew no bounds.
Art is predeceased by his grandparents Art and Martha Wagenstein and Uncle Harold Wagenstein.
Art is survived by his loving parents, Stan and Penny Wagenstein, Grandmother Fern Rooney, sisters Christine (Craig), Cheryle, Roberta (Chris), brother-in-law Steve, nephews Lucien, David and Gregory, nieces Gabrielle, Hannah and Ava, aunts Joanne (Hal), Ella (Les), Dianne (Les) and many cousins and friends.
Private cremation arrangements are being made. At a future date Art will be taken home to Sandspit, Queen Charlotte Islands/Haida Gwaii.
