Art was peacefully promoted to glory surrounded by the family he loved. Art was a heavy-duty diesel mechanic by trade and worked construction, BCHydro and 24 years of service in Haiti. His love for the Haitian people was known by all.
His abilities to troubleshoot and find creative ways to solve problems were legendary. He made it possible for other missionaries to accomplish their ministry.
Art was an amazing husband to Betty and father to Glenn (Debbie) and Donna (Seime). His grandchildren were all stars for him: Joshua and Kihomi Adhémar; Isaiah, Reuben, Jesse and Tabitha Tiede. Art had many friends who loved to hear the many stories he had to tell! Family will miss his smile and gentle encouragement.
The family is so grateful to Discovery Harbour Care Centre for their care of Art as well as Dr. Vanderveen. Carla and her staff are wonderful! There will be a memorial service on Saturday, November 13 @ 2 pm at Ocean Crest Community Church.
