April 27, 1981 - April 23, 2021
It is with profound sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother Aron Malcolm Allan DeLucry, on Saturday 23rd of April 2021. His time with us here on earth was cut too short, just days before his 40th birthday and many years too soon.
Aron, the second of four children was born at St Joseph's Hospital. He grew up in the Comox Valley surrounded by his family and friends. He excelled at and loved playing ice-hockey as well as baseball and soccer.
Later in life he took that love of sport to the beaches, lakes and mountains as a surfer, wake-boarder and snowboarder. Aron was known for being very adventurous and trying many different things, some of which included skydiving, becoming a crab fisherman, a massage therapist, and starting a wake-boarding company.
In his late 20's while living in Whistler he enjoyed spending his days out on the slopes with good friends and his nights making music and memories. Aron loved being outdoors and during his last couple years in Whistler his dream of a wake-boarding company (Whistler wake) came to fruition.
He spent the next while in Whistler on the lake sharing and teaching his love of adventure with others. After many years living in Whistler and time spent travelling with friends throughout Asia, Europe and Latin America, he settled back into the Comox Valley.
Full of life, Aron will be remembered for his big warm smile, and the magnetism he would bring to a room. His family and friends brought him such joy and pleasure in life. Everyone he met in life and throughout his travels around the world became a part of his life and shared in his story. Aron had the brightest smile that made you just want to be near him and soak in his electric energy.
He was a loving and fun son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He had a great passion for music, DJ'ing at events and festivals and bringing people together with his music to enjoy life. With stubborn determination and a sense of adventure he was never afraid to take risks and broke through the barriers that hold so many of us back.
In every endeavour he embarked upon he always committed 100% of himself, he never held anything back and he never let anything stop him from moving forward.
Aron is lovingly and deeply missed by his parents Kim and Dave DeLucry; sisters Jennifer (Paul) and Jillian, brother Cameron (Angela); nieces Olivia, Isabella, Makenna, Kayden and Kiara; nephews Oliver and Jacob; his Grandma Anna; as well as his Aunties, Cathy (Ken), Patti (Bob), Lynda (Dean), Barb (Brian) and Geri; Uncles, Dan, Paul and Stan (Pierette); his dog and best friend Sadie, as well as several cousins and friends.
Aron, You have touched so many lives with your bright smile and laughter. May you find deep peace, great tunes and lightness wherever you are, you will be deeply missed.
You are with us always and forever. We love you.
