November 23, 1935 - April 27, 2021
Ardis was born in Brandon, Manitoba to Arthur and Winnifred Squire. The family moved to the West End of Vancouver when Ardis was 1 year old. She graduated from John Oliver High School and worked for BC Tel until she met and married Glenn Leach. They moved to Vancouver Island and started their family in Maple Bay where she lived for 30 years after the passing of her husband.
Ardis was an avid and talented painter and belonged to the Maple Bay Painters Guild. She was a wonderful mother that enjoyed gardening, baking, being outdoors and was an avid walker. She was also an animal lover and advocate. She was a volunteer at the SPCA for several years.
She is survived by 3 sons; Ross (Nicole), Lewis, and Daniel. Grandchildren; Tyler, Seth, Dannie and Jesse. Cousins; Murray, Forrest and Sharon (Ted).
She was very strong minded, had a great sense of humour, was kind to all and will be missed by family and friends.
