It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Debba. After a lengthy struggle with cancer it was a stroke that took Tony peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side.
Immigrating to Canada from Holland in 1956, he spent a short time in Aggasiz before settling in Port Alberni where he established himself as a roofer. He married the love of his life Casey, in 1962 and together they parented their children and several foster children.
Tony was a man of integrity, compassion, work ethic and above all, family. He is well known for his sense of humour, jokes and lightness of life. A true gift to us all, we are so honoured to have had you in our life, you have left your mark.
Survived by his wife Casey of 57 years, children; Mitch, Kathy (Martin), Rick (Stacy), Tammy (Gary), and Deb (Tom), grandchildren; Erica, Harlen, Jarome, Matthew and Tobin, great grandchildren; Levi and Micah, brothers; Cor, Wim, Friet, Bert and sisters; Vera and Ann. Predeceased by his mother; Maria, father; Antonius, sisters; Tina, Riet and brothers; Jos and Piet.
