Anne-Marie Lea passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 15, 2019 at the age of 74 in Port Alberni, BC.
Predeceased by her husband of 52 years Fred. Survived by her partner John; children Frank (Gislaug), Rune (Nicole), Ann-Elin (Jeff) and Kurt (Laurie); grandchildren Anita, Kurtis, Britney, Melissa, Kristopher, Tiffany, Karsten, Amalie, Bjrnar, Hans and Sophia; great grandchildren Tanner, Chloe-Ann, Halle, Brayden, Laila, Sawyer as well as a large extended family.
Born in Stavanger, Norway on June 5, 1944, Anne-Marie married Fred Lea in 1962 and started their family in 1963. By 1977 the family had moved to Canada. Anne-Marie was a long time member of the Sons of Norway and enjoyed being active. She loved bowling, walking, hiking, skiing and going to the gym.
A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Italian Hall, 4065 6th Ave, Port Alberni, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca or the Alberni Valley Hospice Society www.albernihospice.ca.
