It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anne Louise Ashdown nee Simpson announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt at the age of 84. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, November 12th, 2018.
Anne is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Doris Simpson, she is survived by daughter Laurie (Kevin), son Lorne (Sherry), son in-law Ben, grandchildren Todd, Chad (Erin), Rachelle, Monica, Anthony, great grandchildren Rhea, Emma, Isabelle and Beckett. She is also survived by her loving sister Joannie (deceased Gord), niece Lynda and nephew Don, along with many dear family and friends.
Anne was born and raised in Nanaimo, B.C. where she worked as an LPN for 30 years. She was a lady who knew her mind and had a very strong spirit with an amazing sense of humour. She is remembered for her beautiful smile, and enthusiasm for life and family. She enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, travelling, along with her passion for lawn bowling and the friendships that gathered around her table.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nursing staff that supported her during her illness.

A Memorial Service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, Saturday, December 01, 2018 at 12:30.
