It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anna announce her passing in Yucafta Lodge where she was a resident for the last 3 years.

Anna was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Carl, her parents, five siblings and one grandson. She is survived by her daughter Mabel, son Martin (Audrey), 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, youngest sister Eva and many nieces and nephews.

Anna and Carl moved to Campbell River with their children in 1945 and settled in Willow Point. They were two of the founding members of the Bethany Lutheran Church and remained active in the church throughout their lives. Anna was a member of the Board of Directors for Yucafta lodge and was instrumental in the building of the original lodge on Ironwood Street. She spent many hours making quilts for World Relief and crocheting blankets for Yucafta Lodge residents; and in her spare time created lovely works of embroidery and bobbin lace.

For the people who were fortunate to have Anna's love and friendship, you were truly blessed. Anna will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 22nd at Bethany Lutheran Church, 201 Birch Street. Flowers gratefully declined.

A donation to Yucafta Lodge Auxiliary or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
