Andrew Stubbs

Andrew James Stubbs born December 1st, 1982 in Nanaimo was gathered into the arms of his Lord November 20th, 2018. Passing while at home, surrounded by family and listening to his favourite music.

Predeceased by his father Rick Stubbs, grandfather Allan Stubbs, aunt Debra Taylor.

Survived by his mother, Marina Taylor; brother Jeff and Jessica Stubbs (Sawyer, Kenna); stepbrother Jeff Pinckney and Sheri Pearson (Ryker, Shakia, Mackenzie, Kortland); grandparents Doug and Rose Taylor; aunt Karyn Taylor and Pat Peterson; his cousins Derek and Tracie Finstad (Tyrus, Halle, Eden);  Greg and Alison Finstad (Colton, Brody); Karina and Kevin Smith (Declan, Adaya).

Also survived by his paternal grandmother Deanna Stubbs, aunts Debbie (Paul) Schulkowsky, Wendy Harris; his cousins Amanda Broadway, Rhonda Schulkowsky, Cassandra Brown, Kim Hansen, James Harris, Matt Harris and many extended family and close friends. 

Andrew courageously battled brain cancer and paralysis caused by a stroke for 18 months.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at Maranatha Foursquare Gospel Church, 6553 Portsmouth Rd, Nanaimo at 12 pm, followed by a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to Dr. P Boshoff, medical personnel, family and friends who helped care for Andrew. Private family interment
