Amelia Nickle (nee Givis) was born in 1919 in Montreal, Quebec. Amelia was a talented seamstress, and during WWII sewed parachutes for the military. She married Victor Nickle on Valentine's Day, 1942, and had two children, Robert and Christina.
"Milly" cherished her family and maintained contact with her beloved relatives "Back East" through cassettes, letters and visits, after moving to BC in 1989. She loved sewing, visiting, traveling, and cooking amazing Lithuanian recipes. In 2005, she moved to Duncan Manor where she formed wonderful friendships. She moved to Beacon Hill Villa in Victoria in 2019 where she celebrated her 100th birthday.
Amelia is predeceased by husband Victor, son Robert, and daughter Christina (Terry). Survived by her four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many other loving relatives, she was a very special person who will be dearly missed.
