April 19, 1922 - April 1, 2022
On Friday, April 1, 2022 Allan passed away peacefully at home in Sidney, BC, 18 days short of his 100th birthday. He is survived by his son Douglas (Rolinda) Alexander of Victoria, and daughter Joan (Brian) Simpson of Sidney, grandsons David and Ken (Laurel) Alexander and Wade (Kathryn) Simpson, great grandchildren Jaime and Georgia Alexander, Rebekah, Joshua, Caelan and Emily Simpson.
He is predeceased by his wife Gladys, parents Franklin and Helen Alexander, brother Harold Alexander and sister Frances (Wiggins) Currie.
Allan was born in Prince Albert, SK. He and Gladys moved to Sidney in 1945 where they worked alongside each other in their men's wear and dry cleaning business, Alexander-Gane, from 1946-1994 before enjoying a wonderful retirement.
At Allan's request there will be no memorial service.
