July 10, 1943 - March 9, 2021
The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Al Good on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 after a courageous battle with stage four lung cancer.
Al was born in Vermilion, Alberta and was brought up by his Dad, Joe Good. Al began working at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Vermilion until he had a desire to spread his wings and joined HMCS Venture in Victoria.
After realizing the Navy was not for him, he joined the CIBC in Victoria. A friend who worked at the bank recommended Brenda should come and have a look at this new employee and the rest is 56 years of wonderful history.
Al spent 32 years with the CIBC working his way up to Management, and the last few years were spent in Private Banking. Al and Brenda had a very interesting life with the many different postings across Canada.
An only child, Allana was born in 1972 and brought Al and Brenda so much pleasure along with her husband, Randy, and five grandchildren.
Al and Brenda spent many years of travelling to Florida and California to fulfill their favourite past time of golf.
Through the years Al enjoyed volunteering with Kinsmen, Probus, Elder College and several Condo Boards.
Al is survived by his wife Brenda, daughter Allana Lemke (Randy) of Abbotsford and their five children, Jakob, Elias, Natalia, Noël and Micah, also two sister-in laws, Marjorie Baker (Jim) of Newton, Iowa and Phyllis Taylor of Comox, plus many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Carol Ostry for the wonderful care she provided to Al. They would also like to thank all of the Dear Friends who have kept in contact during this difficult time.
A niche side Family Service was held at the Courtenay Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Randy Lemke.
