Alice died March 20th, 2019 at the ripe old age of 80. She was born in Armstrong, BC and grew up in Crofton, BC. Alice was predeceased by her parents Cecil and Helen Compton and her brother Roland. She had lived at Oyster Bay Lodge in Ladysmith for the past 6 years and became quite the figure around there. Her ever changing moods kept everyone on their toes. She was a colourful gal.

Alice is survived by her daughter Teresa (Shedrick), grandson Davarius, and granddaughter Nevaeh. Son Don (Tammy), granddaughter Samone and great grandson Kaden. Also are her brothers Vern, Lance (Chris), Ted and sister Jean (Peter). She had nieces and nephews who were part of her life.

I would like to thank everyone at the Oyster Bay Lodge for their loving and kind caring to Alice.

Especially everyone on the 3rd floor, she never made it to the 4th floor. A special thanks to Rob who cared for Alice and her quirks until the end.

I would like to invite anyone who knew Alice to a party, she wanted a big one but this is going to be a little smaller than she wanted) at 2581 Ashcroft Road in Chemainus on May 4th, 2019. From 1 pm to 4 pm. Come share some drinks, or coffee and tea, some grub and listen to the Elvis belt out some tunes. Hope to see you there.
