Born Jul 23, 1927 in Cold Lake, Alberta, Alice passed away Feb 24, 2021 at Sunridge Place in Duncan, BC.
Alice is survived by 3 sons; Doug (Shannon) in Sooke, Dan (Diane) in Duncan, and Bradford (Nancy, Marina) in Russia.
Alice is survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Feb 25, 2003; brothers Warren (Jean), Ralph (Elaine), and twin brother Roland (Eileen).
Upon retirement Ralph and Alice moved from Calgary to Sooke, BC and then to Victoria.
Alice moved to Duncan about 6 years ago and lived at Sherwood House, Ts’i’ts’uwatul’ Lelum Assisted Living, and finally Sunridge. A very grateful thank you to all her caregivers over the years and to Dr. Bass.
Alice was a generous and outspoken woman. She wore many hats, including President of the Victoria General Auxiliary. She will be missed by many. Next time you “bend your elbow” with a Martini, think of her.
As per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Family will gather at a later date for inurnment at Hatley Park. Condolences may be offered online at www.sandsduncan.ca
