We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Alfred (Fred) Mitchell-Molyneux on May 19th, 2021. He left behind his wife, Dianne, with whom he spent 59 years. The couple enjoyed traveling together throughout their marriage, frequently visiting their family and friends all over the world. He is also survived by his two children, Geoff and Donna, as well as his three grandsons, Tristan, Cameron and Sean.
Fred graduated from UBC's School of Agriculture which fostered in him a lifelong passion for gardening and led to a teaching career. He was known for his humour, love of food, entertaining, fierce competitive nature in all card games and a strong desire to fish.
Fred always felt he was fortunate to benefit from the dedicated care of health professionals - specifically, Dr. Benson, Dr. Wainberg, and community care nurses; Denise and Vickie.
