It is with great sadness that the Robbins family announces the unexpected passing of Alexis Robbins. Alexis passed away on March 13th 2022, at the age of 37 from an accidental loss of life due to a poisoned drug supply. Her cause of death makes her one of far too many.
Growing up Alexis had a way about her that drew people in, she always had an infectious smile that could light up a room, the moment she walked in. She had a big heart, loved her family and had a beautiful connection with animals. Alexis was raised in Nanaimo and graduated from Wellington Secondary in 2002. Alexis struggled to find a meaning to her life and purpose to her day after high school. Eventually her sparkle faded.
Alexis is survived by her Mother Dilys and Father Gary. Brother Matthew (Kaylee), Brother Nicholas (Alysia) nieces Karleigh, Pyper, Ivy, and nephew Jackson. Her family knew that this might happen. No matter how much one can prepare for the worst and hope for the best, one can never be fully prepared for the reality of the moment. Alexis did not know how much she is loved or realize how much that she will be missed. Alexis is now at peace.
A service will be held at First Memorial on April 1st at 2pm.
