Aiden Nugent passed away in his sleep on the evening of Dec. 28th at Royal Jubillee Hospital in Victoria , BC.

He is survived by his daughter Wanda, son Kevin (Heather), grandchildren Brennan and Kate, great-grandson Lynden, ex-wife Doreen. Brother John (Marilyn) of Swan Hills, AB, sister Pauline (Dennis) Johnson, Brothers Gerry and Gord of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and sister Janita (Lewis) Osmond of St. Johns, Nfld. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Aiden is predeceaced by his parents Frank and Agnes Nugent and brother Terrance (Josephine) all of Kelligrews, Nfld.

Dad moved to Campbell River in 1975 to accept a job as an electrician at the Elk Falls Mill, where he would stay for over 30 years. He was a well-respected tradesman and there were few problems that he couldn't troubleshoot.

Aiden had a love for the sea and built his first of many boats at an early age. He was a skilled sailor and a member of the CR yacht club for many years.

Aiden was a hamm radio enthusiast from way back and enjoyed his craft well into his retirement.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's society of British Columbia.

There will be a short service in the Carriage room upstairs at the Royal Coachmen to be followed by refreshments at 2 pm on Sunday, January the 21, 2018. All are welcome to attend.
