Adele Paruk passed away peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by her family in Parksville, BC. She was predeceased by her son Gary and husband Alex.

Adele was born in Lamont, Alberta to proud parents Caroline and Michael Andruchow. She was one of seven children. On October 19th 1948, Adele married Alex Paruk. They started a family in 1949, when their son Glen was born, followed by Carol, twins Dennis & Gary, Wendy, David and Susan. As work was hard to find in Alberta, the family moved to Port Alberni in 1957. Adele started work at Woodwards in 1959, then moved on to Shop Easy. She retired in 1986.

Adele enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, ballroom dancing and especially spending time with her family at Rathrevor Beach, and occasional rousing games of cards. Adele was widowed in 1993. She then moved to Parksville after her new home was completed. There she became a pillar of the community, joining in volunteer work and keeping busy with Knox church and every possible senior's outings that were available. Adele also enjoyed a lot of world travelling with her sister Vicki.

Adele leaves a legacy of 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. We will always carry your memory in our hearts Mom...
