Born in Evesham, Saskatchewan. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, great grandfather at the Evergreen Seniors Home (very peacefully).

Predeceased by his wife Ethel in 2007, brothers Gordon and Ernie. Survived by his sister May Nelson (Comox, BC). Sons George (Lorna), John and daughter Heather (Norm). Grandchildren Ty, Blake, Abbie (Shaun). 1 great grandson Archer. As well 6 step-granddaughters, and 12 step -great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews.

Dad arrived in Campbell River in 1946 after he married Ethel Mary Carmichael in Prince Rupert. He was a very hard working opinionated, generous man. Always looking out for his next project. He had many professions, from roofing, fisherman in Prince Rupert during the war years, moving houses, Private Pilot , owned R&M trucking partners for many years with Fred Meier (Haida Freight). He invested in many businesses most were successful. So many things that he did in his lifetime he loved a challenge . Dad had a great sense of humor, always made the room smile. He loved to watch Two and half men and Dragons Den. His other things that satisfied his day was his boat and a good hot rye.

A man who touched so many lives , very caring gentleman. Special thanks to Evergreen Home for all your attentive loving care. He loved you all. Celebration of Dad will be held on October 14th at Eagles Hall, Campbell River, between 1 - 4 pm.
