Today, the West Shore RCMP unveiled a Wall of Honour inside the foyer of the local detachment in memory of fallen West Shore RCMP officers.
Today is also the two year anniversary of the death of West Shore RCMP officer Const. Sarah Beckett.

Space for members of the public was limited for the initial unveiling at noon but the foyer will remain open for the remainder of the day and during regular business hours for members of the public who may wish to view the wall and pay their respects.

Beckett was killed after her police cruiser was broadsided by a pickup truck in the Goldstream Avenue and Peatt Road intersection in Langford during the early morning hours of April 5, 2016.
